AR Networking & Co (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive via our website (the “Site” or “www.dor-app.com”) or app (the “App”), collectively called “Dor” or “Dor: All Strings Attached”, and through the use of any services provided by us through the Site or the App (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, capitalized terms used herein have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service.

Dor is strongly committed to your right to privacy. This section covers Dor’s privacy policy that highlights how we handle personally identifiable information that Dor collects when you are on our Site or App. Please read this privacy policy carefully.

By using Dor, you agree to this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”). If you do not agree to this Policy, you may not use the App or the Site.

What personal data do we collect?

We collect the following three types of information from you:

  1. Information you voluntarily submit;
  2. Information not directly submitted by you; and
  3. Information we receive from others.

Information submitted by you

In order to avail the services, you provide information which includes the following:

  • While creating or completing your profile, you share with us your personal data, such as name, gender, date of birth, contact details, educational qualification, employment details, photos, interests and your geolocation.
  • When you avail of our paid service, you provide us or our payment service provider with sensitive personal data such as your bank account, debit or credit card number or UPI ID.
  • Testimonials submitted by you including your success story and photos.
  • Information submitted by you voluntarily while participating in surveys, contests, promotions or events.
  • Details that are shared with our customer care team. (This information is used to monitor or for training purposes and to ensure a better service).

Information not directly submitted by you

  • User activity: We collect information about your activity on our services, such as the date and time you logged in, features you’ve been using, searches, clicks and pages visited by you and your interaction with other users including messages and photos exchanged; and
  • Device information: We automatically collect information from and about the device(s) such as IP address, device ID and type, device specification and app settings, app error reports, browser type and version, operating system, identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify your device or browser.

Information we receive from others

In addition to the information provided by you to us directly, we receive information about you from others, such as your social media profile information.

Basis for collection and processing of your personal data

We collect and process your personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Consent: You have consented to the collection and processing of your personal information by using the App and Site.
  • Contract: We need to collect and process your personal information in order to fulfil our contractual obligations to you, such as providing you with the features and services of the App and Site.
  • Legitimate interests: We collect and process your personal information for our legitimate interests, such as personalizing your experience on the App and Site, serving you targeted advertising, analysing website traffic and detecting and preventing violations of Terms of Service and illegal activities.
  • Compliance with law: Your Personal Information may be processed by us, to the extent that such processing is necessary to allow us to comply with a legal obligation.

We will only collect and process your personal information to the extent that is necessary for the purposes described above.

How do we process your personal data?

We use your personal data where we have a legal basis to do so in a fair and reasonable manner.

We may process your Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • Provide you with the features and services of the App and Site
  • Personalize your experience on the App and Site
  • Protecting our Users and providing you with customer support
  • Our automated systems analyse your content to provide you with customised recommendations
  • Send alerts and emails such as match alert emails, membership emails, visitor alert emails, new matches mails, message alert emails, service emails, promotional emails, SMS alerts and call alerts(s) to you (To unsubscribe, please email us at [email protected])
  • Process your chats with other users of Dor for purposes such as fulfilment of legal obligations, monitoring for offensive or menacing content
  • Using information collected from cookies and other technologies, like pixel tags, to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services 
  • Serve you with targeted advertising. We will not associate an identifier from cookies or similar technologies with sensitive categories, such as those based on race, religion, sexual orientation or health
  • Conducting market research and surveys with the aim of improving our products and services
  • Analyse website traffic and collect data on how users interact with the App and Site
  • Sending you information about our products and services for marketing purposes and promotions
  • Preventing, detecting, investigating and taking action against crimes (including but not limited to fraud and other financial crimes), suspected fraud, abuse and any other illegal activities or violations of our Terms of Service in any jurisdiction
  • To the extent required for identity verification and due diligence checks, if so undertaken.
  • Establishing, exercising or defending legal rights in connection with legal proceedings (including any prospective legal proceedings) and seeking professional or legal advice in relation to such legal proceedings.

Do we collect information about minors?

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.

Inviting friends

If you choose to invite your friends to use the App and Site, you may do so by providing us with their contact information, such as their email addresses or phone numbers. We will use this contact information to send your friends an invitation to use the App and Site. We may also use this contact information to send your friends reminders about the App and Site or to provide them with updates about your profile.

You may also choose to invite your friends to use the App and Site by sharing a link to your profile on social media. When you do this, we may collect your social media profile information, such as your name, email address, and profile picture. We will only use this information to send your friends an invitation to use the App and Site.

Your friends may choose to opt out of receiving invitations from you by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the invitation email or text message.

By choosing to invite people to join Dor, you confirm that you have their consent to share their personal information with us and to receive marketing communication from us. You hereby agree to indemnify and hold Dor harmless from all claims arising out of your invitations to join Dor.

Third-party content

The App and Site may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

The App and Site may also contain third-party content, such as advertising, images, and videos. We do not endorse or control any third-party content, and we assume no liability for any third-party content.

Do we share your personal data?

We may share your personal data with the following third parties:

a. With other users

We share your information with other users of Dor when we show them your profile and when you choose to share your information with them while interacting with them. We advise you to be cautious about what you share on your profile and with other users.

b. With our service providers and partners

We may use third-party service providers to provide website and application development, hosting, maintenance, backup, storage, payment processing, analysis, customer support, targeted advertising and other services for us, which may require them to access or use information about you. If a service provider needs to access information about you to perform services on our behalf, they do so under close instruction from us, including policies and procedures designed to protect your information. All of our service providers and partners agree to strict confidentiality obligations and data protection.

c. With law enforcement agencies

We will disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, other members’ interests and protection, and/or for compliance with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us.

We do not sell, rent, share, trade or give away any of your personal information.

Storage and transfer of personal data

We store your personal data on secure servers located in India. We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to provide you with the features and services of the App and Site, and to comply with our legal obligations.

We may transfer your personal data to countries outside your country of residence for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have adequate data protection laws in place and in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (IT Rules).

By using Dor, you consent to your data being transmitted and stored to our service providers and subcontractors which may be outside your country of residence, to let us run statistical studies, support users, and if need be, host data processed by us.

How long do we retain your personal data?

We keep your personal information only as long as we have a legal basis for it and as permitted by applicable law.

When your Account is deleted, your profile is no longer viewable to other users. For up to 30 days, it is still possible to restore your Account if it was accidentally deleted. After 30 days, we begin the process of deleting your personal information from our systems, unless we have a legitimate interest in retaining your personal data for longer periods of time, such as:

  1. we must keep it to comply with applicable law (for instance, if you make purchases within the App, some personal data may be kept for tax and accounting purposes);
  2. we must keep it to evidence our compliance with applicable law (for example, if an account is blocked, we keep some account information and a record of the behaviour that led to the block – this information is retained for evidential purposes in case of queries or legal claims concerning the block);
  3. there is an outstanding issue, claim or dispute requiring us to keep the relevant information until it is resolved; or
  4. the information must be kept for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention and enhancing our Users’ safety and security (for example, information may need to be kept to prevent a user who was banned for unsafe behaviour or security incidents from opening a new account).

Warning: Even after you remove information from your profile or delete your Account, copies of that information may still be viewable and/or accessed to the extent such information has been previously shared with other users, or copied or stored by other users. We cannot control this, nor do we accept any liability for this. If you have given third party applications or websites access to your personal information, they may retain such information to the extent permitted under their terms of service or privacy policies.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or modification. Access to your information is restricted to employees who need the information to perform a specific job.

However, no security measure is perfect and we cannot guarantee that your data, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, is absolutely safe from intrusion by others and will not be compromised.

Compliance with the law

This Privacy Policy is in compliance with the DPDPA and the IT Rules by:

  • Obtaining consent from users before collecting and processing their personal data
  • Providing users with access to their personal data and the ability to correct or delete it
  • Taking reasonable measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or modification
  • Reporting any data breaches to the appropriate authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to make changes to the privacy policy at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site and the App. Your use of the Site, App and/or any of our Services following any such notice will signify and constitute your assent to and acceptance of such revised Privacy Policy.
